Another local festival is just what we need to usher us into Summer ’16! And for those of us who’d like to do things a little different this year, the first ever Bahamas Yacht and Travel Show might be right up your alley.
Scheduled for this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Bay Street Marina (next to Green Parrot) the yacht and travel show will introduce you to the nautical life with yachts and smaller boats you can rent for a day or a few days away, resort wear and all things you need to make your summer adventures hashtag worthy.

The event is all being planned by Boat 4 A Day, a local company that allows clients to rent out the most beautiful yachts to cruise around the harbour or cruise to another island all in the name of fun and something new to do…because Lord knows we need new activities in this town!
The owners say the concept of hosting such a show was birthed from wanting to create a yacht and travel show in Nassau so that small businesses in The Bahamas’ marine industry would have the opportunity to market their products and increase their exposure from The Bahamas to both a local and international audience. The organizers of the event also wanted to generate tourist-based interest in what The Bahamas has to offer, especially focusing on the boutique style of travel in The Bahamas.
“We at Boat 4 A Day will be showcasing our collection of available charter yachts, along with several other local companies that offer charter services in our waters,” said Shannon Bruce, “Boat 4 a Day”, referring to the event. “Additionally, we will have other complimentary and like-minded entities participating as vendors / exhibitors, thus creating a well-rounded selection of some of The Bahamas’ finest.”
